Yuma Totani is an associate professor of history at the University of Hawaii. She is the author of Justice in Asia and the Pacific Region, 1945-1952: Allied War Crimes Prosecutions (New York: Cambridge University Press, 2015) and The Tokyo War Crimes Trial: The Pursuit of Justice in the Wake of World II (Cambridge, Mass.: Harvard University Asia Center, 2008). The Japanese translation of these publications, rendered by the author herself, has been published respectively as Futashikana seigi: BC-kyū senpan saiban no kiseki (Tokyo: Iwanami shoten, 2015) and Tōkyō saiban: dai-niji taisengo no hō to seigi no tsuikyū (Tokyo: Misuzu shobō, 2008).
