James Chandler is William B. Ogden Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of English and the Department of Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Chicago. He serves as General Editor for Cambridge Studies in Romanticism, and he edited the Cambridge History of British Romantic Literature. His research interests include British and Irish literature since the early Enlightenment and American cinema. He is currently at work on a book about practical criticism in literature and cinema.
