Carol Swain is the author of The New White Nationalism in America: Its Challenge to Integration (2004). Swain is Professor of Political Science and Professor of Law at Vanderbilt University. She is the author of Black Faces, Black Interests: The Representation of African Americans in Congress (Harvard University Press, 1993, 1995), which was selected by Library Choice Journal as one of the seven outstanding academic books of 1994. Black Faces was also the winner of the 1994 Woodrow Wilson prize.
