Extreme Book Signings

Eruptions that Shook the World

It might have been a bit colder than a bookstore, even one with its air conditioning cranked all the way up, but anyone attending Clive Oppenheimer’s recent book signings would have experienced some remarkable scenery.

Author of Eruptions that Shook the World, Oppenheimer regularly conducts fieldwork on Antarctica’s Mount Erebus, the continent’s most active volcano and home to one of the longest-lasting lava lakes on the planet. But, as he described in his blog diary, it’s not all work and no play. And like any active author, he makes time to sign a few books along the way. Check out photos from some of Clive’s “extreme book signings” below.

Where has your copy been? Through April 30, when you share your photo with Eruptions that Shook the World, we’ll send you a free Cambridge tote bag. You can post it to our Facebook wall or send to publicity@cambridge.org.
